Trott & Trott, P.C. adds two attorneys, receives NARCA award

 Farmington Hills-based Trott & Trott, P.C., announced the addition of attorneys Timothy Chervenak and Jennifer Hawthorne to the firm’s title department. Timothy Chervenak joins Trott & Trott as a title attorney. Jennifer Hawthorne joins Trott & Trott as a title attorney from Hoffert & Associates in Farmington Hills, where she reviewed and assessed property tax assessment notices.
The law firm also has been named the recipient of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA) 2010 Community Service Award. The Community Service Award, presented annually at the NARCA Fall Conference, is given to the law firm that best demonstrates an implementation of activities and overall firm commitment toward the betterment of its community. In honor of the award, NARCA will donate $1,000 to Trott & Trott’s charity of choice.

Steve Wozniak to speak at Macomb Community College

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will discuss the importance of creativity, innovation and education as well as his experiences in the early personal computer industry during a Nov. 12 visit to Macomb Community College. Wozniak’s visit is part of the college’s American Ingenuity: Embracing the Freedom to Dream program series that is ongoing at the Lorenzo Cultural Center through Nov. 21. The Chat with Steve Wozniak begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 with NBC technology reporter Mike Wendland facilitating.
