Pink Pump owner offering workshops for aspiring business owners

Tawny Thieu-Walker, the owner of Liquid Salon and The Pink Pump chain of women's apparel boutiques is hosting workshops focused on how to start a successful salon and build a successful retail business.
"Build A Million Dollar Salon" is 4 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13 at Liquid Salon, 6652 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills and "Build A Business With Tawny" is 4 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4 at Pink Pump, 309 S. Main Street, Royal Oak.
At the "Build A Million Dollar Salon," Thieu will guide attendees in developing a business plan, preparing personal financial documents, negotiating lease rates, internal structure of the business (booth rent, commission pay scale), setting policies and contracts, service and pricing strategy and recruiting and developing talent. "Build A Business With Tawny," is a business-building workshop targeted to aspiring business owners in the retail sector. This workshop will help owners create a business plan, prepare and understand business financial projections and how to buy and merchandise wisely and open the store.
