World Intellectual Property Day celebration planned in Royal Oak

A celebration of World Intellectual Property Day is 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 at Stagecrafters Baldwin Theatre, 415 South Lafayette, Royal Oak. 
The IP Day celebration has the theme of “Movies: A Global Passion.” It is a free event featuring the “Firebreather” car from the movie “Jinn” and fast cars on display. The event features a repeller scaling the stage and cameras on remote-control helicopters.
Congressman John Conyers, Academy Award nominated animator Gary Schwartz and student winners of the 57th Annual Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit are scheduled to appear.
