Macomb-OU INCubator pitch application deadline nears

The Macomb-Oakland University INCubator pitch competition deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3. With support of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and local businesses and partners, the Macomb-OU INCubator will award $20,000 in cash and in-kind prizes to winning Michigan high-growth technology businesses with $2.5 million or less in revenue and in business for thre years or less. Starting a business at 50 and up

Detroit SCORE and Entrepreneurs Network Of Michigan are presenting an interactive seminar for ages 50 and up, to consider starting a business. The seminar is 6-8 p.m. July 29 at Next Center 2121 Midvale, Birmingham. It offers resources from the SCORE and the Small Business Association's Encore Entrepreneurs. TiE Detroit hosting interactive workshop in Southfield

TiE Detroit, the Detroit chapter of the global non-profit organization for entrepreneurs, will host “Interactive Growth Strategy Workshop with Raj Vattikuti” 5:30-8:30 p.m. July 23 at Engineering Society of Detroit, 20700 Civic Center Drive, Suite 450, Southfield. Michigan women entrepreneurs invited to 'pitch competition'

The Michigan Women’s Foundation is hosting the annual Entrepreneur YOU pitch competition for women. The organization will select 20 finalists to participate in coaching and compete for prizes of cash and in-kind services. This year, finalists will participate in Dolphin Tank, a milder version of the television show Shark Tank.
Female entrepreneur applicants must enter a two-page concept paper by 5 p.m. July 13 at miwf.fluidreview.com. A $10 processing fee is required. The Entrepreneur You Business Plan and Pitch Competition applicants can select either the Grand Rapids or SE Michigan competition.
Finalists will be announced in August and will present at the Entrepreneur YOU Pitch Competition in either Southeast Michigan on Oct. 9 or in West Michigan on Oct. 16.
