Automation Alley hosting global economic outlook for 2016

Automation Alley is hosting Global Economic and Industry Outlook for 2016 and Beyond, 8-11:30 a.m. Jan. 27 at Automation Alley Headquarters, 2675 Bellingham Drive, Troy. 
The Oakland County tech association and a group of international business experts will gather to discuss the global economy and how companies can take advantage of opportunities and meet challenges of doing business overseas. Topics will include the eurozone, China’s GDP growth rate, geopolitical threats, shale oil discoveries, technological innovations. Birmingham leadership breakfast to feature business coach

"A Leadership Perspective: Getting the Right People into the Right Seats" is 7:30- 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at Birmingham Country Club, 1750 Saxon Drive, Birmingham.
Hosted by CBRT/The Business Round Table, the breakfast will feature Mike Kotsis, founder of GPS For Small Business. Kotsis is a certified EOS Implementer, (business coach). He has worked with his family business, Atlas Wholesale Food Co.m was involved in a software startup, Optiant Supply Chain Solutions, and also worked at Dell Computer.

Oakland County Business Center offers December workshops

Business owners and entrepreneurs are invited to attend Oakland County Business Center seminars at the Oakland County Executive Office Building Conference Center, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, west of Telegraph, in Waterford Township, www.AdvantageOakland.com/businessworkshops, 248-858-0783. These workshops are free.
  • Starting A Business workshop is 9-11:3- a.m. Dec. 8.
  • CEED Lending Small Business Loan Orientation workshop is 9-11 a.m. Dec. 9.
  • Business Research: Feasibility to Expansion workshop is 9-11 a.m. Dec. 9. 
  • Walk-In-Start-Up Thursdays is 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Thursday, non holiday, for individuals who want to launch a business. There is no fee. Walk-in sessions are available on a first come, first served basis and each session is limited to 15 minutes.
