Nominees sought for 30 Under 30 in manufacturing and engineering

Advanced Manufacturing Media’s 2016 30 Under 30 program is seeking nominations of outstanding young manufacturing and engineering students, professionals and educators for recognition in its July 2017 issue of Manufacturing Engineering magazine.
Advanced Manufacturing Media is a part of SME, an association with a mission to promote manufacturing technology and develop a skilled workforce.

'Move toward your goals- NOW' at women's event

Annual Ultimate Women’s Event is 6 p.m. Jan. 27-28 at the Sheraton Hotel in Novi, featuring a panel of entrepreneurs, authors, coaches. The theme “Move toward your goals- NOW”. ACE '17 entrepreneur event is Jan. 26 in Southfield

ACE ‘17 (Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship) is noon-6 p.m.  Jan. 26 at Westin Southfield Detroit Hotel, 1500 Town Center, Southfield, general admission is $25, advance registration required, ace-event.org. The event includes the ACE Challenge and voting by attendees, workshops and exhibits.

Tech248 to focus on 'connected vehicle' industry

Tech248’s January MeetUp is 2-4 p.m. Jan. 27 at P3 Detroit in Southfield. The event includes an introduction by Samit Ghosh, P3 Detroit CEO. The guest speaker is Jeff Magnell, CEO, JDM Systems Consultants of Farmington Hills, speaking on the topic of  "Connected Vehicles."
