Business start-up workshops offered in Waterford

Oakland County Business Center offers monthly workshops to help entrepreneurs on their road to business ownership. "Starting A Business" workshop is 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Feb. 12  and "Business Research: Feasibility to Expansion" is 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18. Both workshops are free and take place at the Oakland County Executive Office Building Conference Center, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford Township. Register at or call 248-858-0783.
The business center also offers "Walk-In-Start-Up Thursdays" which take place 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Thursday, non holiday. Entrepreneurs receive confidential, one-on-one advice from an experienced business consultant with no appointment necessary. There is no fee. Walk-in sessions are available on a first come, first served basis and each session is limited to 15 minutes.
