Vodka distillery in Ferndale to host business networking event

Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit is hosting a networking event for sales and marketing professionals, 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Valentine Distilling Co., 161 Vester Street in Ferndale. The event will provide an opportunity to make new connections with marketing and sales professionals in Michigan at the tasting room of Valentine Vodka. Waterford expo set for March 19

The Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Live-Work-Play Expo 2015, 5-8 p.m., Thursday, March 19 at Waterford Mott High School, 1151 Scott Lake Road, Waterford Township. Exhibitors are sought for the expo. Early bird pricing deadline for registration is Feb. 9.

Business start-up workshops offered in Waterford

Oakland County Business Center offers monthly workshops to help entrepreneurs on their road to business ownership. "Starting A Business" workshop is 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Feb. 12  and "Business Research: Feasibility to Expansion" is 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18. Both workshops are free and take place at the Oakland County Executive Office Building Conference Center, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford Township. Register at or call 248-858-0783.
The business center also offers "Walk-In-Start-Up Thursdays" which take place 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Thursday, non holiday. Entrepreneurs receive confidential, one-on-one advice from an experienced business consultant with no appointment necessary. There is no fee. Walk-in sessions are available on a first come, first served basis and each session is limited to 15 minutes.

Business Builders Series starts Feb. 4 in Auburn Hills

The Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with OU Inc., launches its four-part Business Builders Series on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
