Five finalists to compete in Pitch ‘N’ Pontiac competition

CEED Lending is hosting the first live Pitch ‘N’ Pontiac competition, 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 at the Pontiac Creative Arts Center, 47 Williams St., Pontiac. Five Pontiac-based finalists were selected from a group of new and existing small business owners who pitched their ideas in the first round of judging.
The finalists will compete for their share of $15,000 cash along with pro-bono business services.
CEED Lending and Talmer Bank launched the Pitch “N” Pontiac pitch competition.
“Pitch “N” Pontiac is a great event for the city of Pontiac, Lysa Davis, Talmer Bank CRA officer said in a statement. “Providing business services to the contest winners will go a long way in helping them build a successful business, which in turn, aids the economic development in the area.”

CAM Logic to host Technology Open House at new facility

Oakland County to host workshops for business expansion

Oakland County Economic Development & Community Affairs is hosting the upcoming workshops and the weekly Walk-In-Start-Up Thursdays at the Oakland County Executive Office Building Conference Center, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford Township. There is no fee for the workshops or Walk-In sessions.

• Business Research-Feasibility to Expansion workshop is 6-8:30 p.m. Aug. 16.
• Team SBA Financing Roundtable workshop is 9 a.m.-noon, Aug. 18.
